A Magyar Animációs Művészek Egyesülete a magyar animációs szakma szellemiségét tovább örökítő szabad művészi, kulturális és oktatási alkotóműhely, mely szigorúan szakmai keretek között, autonóm módon működik.
Célja alkotói közösségként az animációs alkotás, képzés, kutatás és tudás-átadás megteremtése, szakmai támogatása népszerűsítése és közvetítése a társadalom felé.
Legfontosabb célja művészeti produkciók, így különösen animációs filmalkotások létrehozásának és gyártásának szakmai segítése.
